BREAKING NEWS: The AICPA announces that beginning July 1, 2019, there will be two updates to the CPA Exam’s introductory screens. Both live and practice exams will be updated.
The first change affects the Policy Statement/Confidentiality screen and the Section Information screens, which will be consolidated into one. As before, candidates will have 5 minutes to review and accept this information.
The second change has to do with the Exam timer, which will now be displayed more prominently on the Welcome/Launch Code screen and the Policy Statement/Confidentiality/Section Information screen. The AICPA states that there are no changes to the timer within the body of the exam.
What we recommend: Make sure you know what to expect on the CPA Exam, including the welcome screens. CPA candidates must agree to and accept the policy statements within 5 minutes, otherwise, the exam is terminated and will not relaunch.
