New partnership aims to support candidates sitting for the CMA Exam with a heavy focus on more effective studying.

Surgent CMA Review is proud to announce that it has been named a strategic partner of IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), the association of accountants and financial professionals in business. This partnership is focused on supporting the increasing number of candidates who sit for the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) exam each year, while also exposing more professionals to Surgent’s unique approach to CMA Exam preparation.

Surgent CMA Review courses are powered by proprietary adaptive learning software called A.S.A.P. Technology™, which identifies each student’s weaker areas of comprehension and steers them to specific exam-aligned study material based on those knowledge gaps. By spending more time on identified weaknesses, and less time on content the student is already proficient in, students can become exam-ready in a targeted, effective manner. A.S.A.P. Technology also powers ReadySCORE™, a unique feature that accurately quantifies a candidate’s exam readiness by comparing a student’s real-time performance in the course to real exam scoring. ReadySCORE lets candidates know how they are performing at every point in their studies, so they know when they are truly ready to pass the rigorous CMA Exam.

“As the popularity of the CMA credential continues to increase, we see great potential to reach even more prospective candidates than ever before,” said Elizabeth Kolar, CPA, CGMA, Chief Knowledge Officer, Surgent. “Partnering with IMA is a great honor and we hope to introduce candidates to a new and more effective means of preparing for the exam.”

IMA, the organization administering the CMA exam, is a worldwide association of accounting and financial professionals. To date, the organization has granted nearly 70,000 CMA certificates to accounting and finance professionals who have demonstrated a mastery of the most critical subject areas in management accounting, including financial planning and analysis, performance, and control.

“The best way for someone involved in management accounting to invest in themselves and their careers is to pursue a CMA,” said Jim Gurowka, Senior Vice President, Global Business Development at IMA. “Working with Surgent as a strategic partner will help many individuals master what they need to know to earn their CMA certifications and benefit the entire profession.”

As a strategic partner, Surgent CMA Review will provide an exclusive course discount on its top-tier course, Ultimate Pass, for new and existing IMA members. All of Surgent’s course content is 100% aligned with IMA specifications and includes over 2,800 multiple-choice questions, more than 60 video lectures, 38 essay problems, both printed and PDF textbooks, and printed flashcards. Ultimate Pass also includes unlimited course access that does not expire, unlimited practice exams that simulate the real CMA Exam, and two 1-on-1 virtual coaching sessions with an exam expert.

Surgent will be attending IMA’s Annual Conference & Expo from June 15-19, 2019 in San Diego as a premier sponsor and will also serve as an exclusive sponsor of the 2019 Student Case Competition.
