Description
Upon completion of this seminar, students will gain an understanding of fringe benefits, business tax credits, and amended returns for C corporations, S corporations, and partnerships. Special requirements which apply to different types of fringe benefits will be discussed. The IRS fringe benefit valuation rules will be explained, with the goal that students will be able to calculate the value of employee fringe benefits. The fringe benefit valuation rules allow companies to determine the appropriate amount of taxable income to be charged to employees. Students will be introduced to several available business tax credits. Students will be able to determine taxpayer eligibility for each tax credit, understand the carryback and carryforward requirements for the credits, and demonstrate the credit ordering rule. The filing requirements for amended business income tax returns will be discussed. The seminar will conclude with a summary of the filing requirements for amending other business returns such as Forms W-2, W-3, 941, and 940. New video lecture reinforces concepts!
